Abilene Christian University as well as Natura have gotten only the second construction permit for an advanced reactor! ABILENE, Texas – September 16th: The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has issued a construction permit (CP) for the deployment of the Natura Resources’ MSR-1 system at Abilene Christian University (ACU).This marks the first construction permit for a liquid-fueled advanced reactor and only the second for any advanced reactor issued by the NRC.

Thorium Energy Alliance has Great Hopes for Natura

How about that ! ? T.E.A. proposed working with the DoE and ARPAe to revive uses of thorium alloys for energy uses ( outside of fuel ) - and it was 'Encouraged' to be made into a full submission [ this will be a very big lift for us - but we must do our best ].

    The fact that it was essentially against DoE policy to fund thorium projects a while ago and now we may be able to work together with the DoE to revive thorium . . . it is truly astounding progress.
