Urban Nomad Life Coaching
Hi Subscriber,
How is your summer? This year for Independence Day I was back in New York City, so of course I watched the fireworks at a rooftop party. You can read more about it at my blog. Some people have actually told me that a New York City rooftop party is one of their lifelong goals. What's on your list? What are you doing to get there? I'd love to hear about your progress.
Have a great day,
Dawn

Are you ready to make a change this summer?
Jeanne was ready for change. Here's what she had to say about my interactive eCourse, Organize:
"I started this course in a pretty serious state of exhaustion and being
overwhelmed. My hope was to get my mind refocused and build some
momentum in creating some systems of order in our home. That has
definitely happened.
Now my office is my favorite space in our
house. I might gravitate there because it is like basking in my success.
The best part for me is that while I have projects to do--that I can
pull out and put away at will--the paperwork beast has been slain. I no
longer have years worth of bank statements and paid bills in a box
waiting to be filed. That was always the piece I left for later when I
cleaned my office. Not having that staring at me from the closet like a
big blob of grossness (if I can abuse anything that resembles a
metaphor) is really freeing.
The course was such a good investment for me. I've missed it since we wrapped up and I'm looking forward to the next one."

My goal is to help 25 other people reach their goals this summer. Soon after I set the goal I connected with eight new people. So exciting! Now I'm in a slump. Isn't that what happens with a lot of goals? You get
started, and then you lose momentum, or enthusiasm, or the resources to
continue. Sound familiar? Here's the key to continued progress: think
both big picture and small picture. Think about the big picture to stay
focused on the reasons for pursuing the goal. That will translate into
motivation. But don't stop there! Think small picture to devise tiny
action steps to take each day toward the goal. That will translate into
progress. That's what I'm doing, and that's one of the things that I
help coaching clients do.
Do you know anyone who might have hit a
wall with their personal or professional goals? Do you know someone who
hasn't even identified their personal and professional goals? Send them
my way, or have them read more about one-on-one coaching. |
