Besides the mental health benefits gained by spending time in a beautiful outdoor place, a trip to see the extraordinary and one of a kind natural phenomenon preserved in a National Park does even more.
It reminds you why you are taking your own bags to the grocery store, changing out your inefficient light bulbs, reusing or recycling all that packaging that comes in the mail, and all the other environmentally-friendly actions you choose to do every day.
A visit to a National Park fills us with hope and helps keep us motivated to preserve this magnificent planet for our grandchildren and their children.
So, make the commitment to visit a National Park this year. It isn’t too early to start planning!
