The first time I landed in New York City, it was springtime and the tulips along Park Avenue were doing their thing. All my life, I'd heard such scary stories about NYC that I was unprepared for the sheer beauty of the city. It still takes my breath away sometimes, like this weekend when it we had spectacular days. It feels like a lesson about expectations and finding beauty where you don't expect it (image above from here). I hope you're enjoying springtime wherever you are. I'm in your inbox today to let you know about two quick things: my Substack newsletter and some new classes that are starting soon. |

I'd love to have YOU over at my Substack newsletter, where I'm writing about all manner of nice white ladies shenanigans, as well as about my work on the far right along with occasional memoir bits, and always: how we can do better and create less harm.
I'm not trying to start a media empire over there, so it's mostly free with an option to support through paid subscriptions.
A friend and regular reader calls the newsletter,
"nice white ladies in small doses." If you liked the book, or found it challenging, or haven't managed to read it yet, I think you'll enjoy the newsletter. And, the way these things are set up, I can't just add your email from here to there, YOU have to do that, and I know you want to.

It's been a minute since I've offered continuing education classes because I have been busy with my day job and assorted life-challenges. The good news is that new classes are forming now for this summer and the rest of 2023!
People have responded enthusiastically to my online courses about a range of topics, including: Being a Public Scholar, Introduction to White Supremacy, and a series on the NWL book.
Starting in June, I'll be offering those along with some new courses, including Getting Past Fear and Skin in the Game. Both these new courses are for white-raised people who might be afraid of life in a multi-racial world and who want to figure out where they fit in.
Take this super quick 1-minute survey to select the classes that you want to take. No obligation, just clicking on things, for fun!
