So You Want to Know What's Good For Your Kids?
Dr Norman Swan in conversation

Grandparents!
Many parents are too busy, too stressed, to take the time out to hear someone like Dr Norman Swan - they might not even know who he is - but
we do, and we know how good he is. In this remarkable book he offers a guide, a way through the jungle of myths and misinformation, to the things that matter most.
Encourage and support your family to come and hear Norman talk. They won't regret it.
As he says in
So You Want to Know What's Good For Your Kids?, he's not giving advice, just providing evidence. He talks about many of the most important aspects of child raising, including sleep, diet, vaccinations, school refusal, screens, social media, what genetics determine (what you can and can’t change) anxiety, ADHD and much much more.

We’re incredibly pleased to be able to announce that Dr Norman Swan, Australia’s leading medical journalist, will return to Maleny to discuss his new book,
So You Want to Know What’s Good for Your Kids?.
Before becoming the host of the Health Report on Radio National Dr Swan began his career as a pediatrician, so this is a subject close to his heart. In
So You Want to Know What’s Good for Your Kids? he has written a one-stop handbook that clears away all the unnecessary advice parents are subjected to, allowing them to focus on what makes a difference to children.
Dr Swan will be in conversation with Steven Lang.

And, Introducing,
Marko
Newman
Marko's first novel, Dronikus - short-listed for this year's Aurealis Award for the best Science Fiction - is set in a futuristic African state where autocracy has taken hold.
It is the story of a man who stands up to the cynical destruction of both the human and natural worlds.
Marko has worked extensively in film as producer, director and film-maker and he brings this cinematic eye to his thrilling tale...
'Vividly imagined',
John Birmingham
