Hello from Overlap Running!
Updates, stories, and checking in!
I've said for a long time that I'm going to try to make these newsletters a regular thing! My current goal is to send them out on Fridays, but I'm totally open to feedback if this is too frequent. Let's try something new! Yell at me if you have thoughts! |

Do you have questions about nutrition? I have big news! |
Runners are whole people and running should be approached the same way. It's what my whole coaching business is based on. I have been working hard to build a network of people you can trust to help you with your
whole running journey, and I'm so happy to announce a new relationship with Time to Thrive Nutrition! |
Time to Thrive Nutrition will be offering a two-part Nutrition for Runners series, and they'll be offering my athletes a special rate of $20 for the whole series. If you have any specific nutrition questions, topics you'd like them to cover, or any other thoughts about this, I'd love to hear them! Just fill out the super short survey here: |

Hey Philly runners! Have you heard of Grand Slam Track? If not:
Imagine a track race where the athletes are paid big money, the match-ups are dramatic, and they're racing hard against each other instead of just trying to go for fast times. We're talking trash talking 1500m runners, photo finishes, so much track excitement. There's a new track league premiering this year, and that's what they're offering. They're coming to four cities worldwide, and Philly is one of them! Tickets are $10-$20 each, so check it out if you want to see some good racing this summer! I'll be there! |

Curious about caffeine? This article is interesting and talks about how caffeine factors into our sports nutrition as runners. Take a peek! |

If you ever follow the big marathons and pro runners (or want to start), the season of Spring racing is here! First up is the Boston Marathon on April 21st. The pro fields were just announced. Here's who's running (and why it matters if you're just tuning in!) |

The part of the newsletter where I tell you what my running is looking like right now in hopes that you give me all of your recommendations, too! |
What I'm listening to on the run:
- Giggly Squad Podcast (I don't know what they're talking about half the time and I'm still entertained)
- Linkin Park (yes, this is a cry for help)
- Say Nothing: A True Story of Murder and Memory in Northern Ireland (nothing like an audiobook on these colder runs)
What I'm watching on the treadmill:
- Phily Bowden's YouTube Channel (pro-runner in GB, very fun to follow!)
- Allie Ostrander's YouTube Channel (another pro runner, this one is American and just got sponsored by my favorite brand, Oiselle!)
- New Balance Boston's training videos on YouTube
What I'm running in:
- Asics Gel-Nimbus 26
- HOKA Arahi 6
What I'm mad at:
- New Balance SuperComp Trainer v3. The v2 was my favorite shoe ever, but the v3 runs big on me and gave me the grossest blood blister on my toe.
- ASICS Noosa (pictured above) - a wild looking daily trainer that I took a chance on and am absolutely hating.
What I'm training for:
- Philly Love Run Half Marathon in March!
