Update Your Summer Look!
Hello Denver - we're headed your way!
Take a break from the summer heat and visit us in Highlands Ranch this weekend for our two-day summer sale, Friday and Saturday.
Nothing says summer like Mary Tom's spectacular flower necklace & earrings sets made just for us plus her new single flower pendants which can be hung on a variety of chains, cords, chokers or collars. Lots of versatility!
Among our other treasures are contemporary pieces from our newest Navajo artists, Mark Roanhorse Crawford and Alethia L Crawford. These young jewelers are taking the art world by storm and we are seeing many great things from them, including more of Alethia's architectural bracelets. We also found a stunning Rebecca Begay tufa cast flower bracelet, an incredible bolo with ornate tips by Michael Perry and a three-piece inlay humming bird necklace by Dale Edaakie. Also just in is a large selection of Bruce Hodgins' fabulous hand-made chains, which sell out quick. Look for lots of vibrantly colored Santo Domingo and Zuni pieces with shell, coral, lapis, mother of pearl, jet, onyx, turquoise and many other colorful stones. Collections include a rare Al Nez gold and high-grade Mediterranean coral necklace and earring set in a "lightning bolt" design, several pieces from award-winning artist Vernon Haskie and a beautiful collection of Carl & Irene Clark micro-mosiac inlay pieces. Other remarkable pieces include innovative works from Alton Bedonie, and two Na Na Ping (Michael Garcia) bracelets. These are but a sampling of the thousands of items we're bringing your way, so be sure to stop by this weekend and find that perfect piece you've been looking for from this amazing inventory. As always, we have Items to fit any budget, from insanely affordable (great for gifts!) to not-to-miss collector items!
See you there!
Email Newsletters - Good Stuff to Know:
Overall our e-Newsletters have been very successful, and along the way we've learned a few things. If you signed up but didn't receive your newsletter there are a number of possibilities why. And there's also a right way and a wrong way to unsubscribe - who knew? Here are some things we've learned:
If you've signed up directly through our website you may have received a confirmation email asking you to verify you subscribed. If the confirmation is not completed you may not receive emails.
Your email may have gone into your spam folder. Adding info@americana.net to your trusted senders will help. If you have a pre-filter (such as MXGuarddog or other) you will want to release and white list our email from quarantine.
Some providers have filters that block certain senders. While we use a service with a great reputation, high standards and strict anti-spam rules, some providers nevertheless block our emails sent through them. AOL and Verizon do this on a regular basis. Our provider works with them as best they can to remove these blocks, but we still see "bounced"* emails from those domains and others on occasion .
If your email is at a business, government or education domain you will most likely not receive an email from our e-Newsletter system. Many businesses, government (.gov) and education (.edu) entities have robust firewalls and filters that will block our email. E-Newsletters to .gov and .edu domains always bounce.
Email on receipt was unreadable. While most handwriting can be deciphered, email addresses are different because they must be exact. For example, the lowercase letter "l" can often be confused for a 1 and vice versa, 5's can be confused with "s", zero's with "O's", etc.
UNSUBSCRIBING: If at any time you wish to discontinue receiving e-Newsletters, simply click on the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter and you will no longer receive notices. You may also email us directly at info@americana.net and request we remove you from the e-Newsletter list (be sure to provide the email address you want removed). What most folks don't know (and we didn't either until we started this journey) is that when you add the e-Newsletter address to your "blocked senders list" it results in a "complaint" with our provider. No biggie so far, but we don't want to get in trouble. Thanks for your help with this.
*Bounced emails are addresses that could not be delivered successfully to recipients.
