Happy New Year!
We're kicking off the new year with our first show and sale in Riverside, CA!
Join us this weekend for fabulous and unique gifts and a selection you won't see anywhere else!
We've been stocking up on Sleeping Beauty turquoise while there's still some good deals to be had. You may have heard the mine closed and sadly, it's true. Read more
here.
Besides a nice selection of Sleeping Beauty turquoise, we have a fine selection of many other types of turquoise as well as other fabulous stones, incuding new Spider Opal pieces (with a look very similar to fine Australian black opal), coral, lapis, onyx, shell and more. Collections include a rare Al Nez gold and high-grade Mediterranean coral necklace and earring set in a "lightning bolt" design and several pieces from award-winning artist Vernon Haskie. Also, just in for this show is one of Mary Tom's spectacular flower necklaces set with lapis, made just for us, and stunning pieces from her brother Nelson Begay (bolo, squash blossom necklace, naja, bracelets, rings)! We also added more vintage pieces during our last show series including a beautiful 1980's traditional squash blossom necklace, a very unique ca 1930's thunderbird bolo and a 1940's wide channel inlay cuff bracelet with Blue Gem turquoise (in remarkable condition!). Among our other treasures are contemporary pieces from our newest Navajo artists, Mark Roanhorse Crawford and Alethia L Crawford. These young jewelers are taking the art world by storm and we expect to see many great things from them! You may notice that some of their pieces resemble Ric Charlie's style. This is no coincidence as Mark apprenticed with this great master silversmith. Incredibly, we also have a stunning collection of 11 pieces of Carl & Irene Clark micro-mosiac inlay pieces. Some are newer, but most are older pieces. Combined there are approximiately 12,000 individual stones in these works of art! These are but a sampling of the thousands of items we're bringing your way, so be sure to stop by this weekend and find that perfect piece you've been looking for from this amazing inventory. As always, we have Items to fit any budget, from insanely affordable (great for gifts!) to not-to-miss collector items!
Carvings, Pottery, Rugs and More
We have a large selection of smaller sandpaintings and brand new sandpainting boxes (think unique gifts!) with new designs. All are completely handmade (including the boxes), matted and framed by Navajo artists. Our great rug selection was made even better with our trips in January to Teec Nos Pos, Shiprock and Farmington.
We have an excellent selection of handmade American Indian pottery including pieces from many of the Puebloan groups (NM) as well as a very nice variety of Navajo etched pottery.
A fabulous selection of kachina carvings from multi-award winning artists Raymond Chee, Laurence Dallas and other great artists rounds out this great inventory.
See you there!
