FOKUS Invites You to Spring In Prospect Heights
Art is a cause for celebration and creates a space for uniting and empowering communities. In this spirit, FOKUS and Brooklyn East Collegiate Charter School are collaborating for an afternoon of free interactive arts and cultural programming. On Saturday, March 28th from 2-6pm, families, artists and their communities will gather at 80 Underhill Avenue in the Brooklyn East Collegiate’s schoolyardto engage with the arts, young people and surrounding communities. Live music, art exhibitions, and workshops will be available for all! DJ Underdog willbringhis sounds to provide the musical soundtrack for the event.
Guests are invited to participate in an array of creative workshops such as terrarium building, interactive arts workshops and more. The long-term goal of this celebration is to re-envision the relationship between schools, families, and community through partnerships with community-based organizations, artists, families, staff and students. Come join us for an afternoon of music, dancing, crafting, and celebrating the power of arts, education and community!
