Hello Subscriber , Two weeks ago I was teaching a class at the YM-YWCA business school and I got into a
discussion with one of my students over whether it’s important to be friendly in business.
He believed that it was best to just stick to business without attempting to build any rapport or friendship before launching into a sales presentation. I STRONGLY disagreed with this attitude and approach.
All things being equal, people will do business with you if they like and trust you.
And being friendly is a critical factor to being liked.
I had a worker from SHAW at my house installing a digital cable box. The guy was so unfriendly that he made what should have been a pleasant, happy occasion into an unpleasant one.
How friendly are you in business?
Make it a great week!
