Go Green Brooklyn HUB: a new Town Square initiative
Go Green! Festival 2016 also celebrates the launch of Town Square’s newest initiative, Go Green Brooklyn Hub, a new online destination for local environmental news, events and opportunities. Its mission is to increase participation in environmental programs and make our communities better places to live. Please share
GoGreenbk.org with everyone you know who lives in Greenpoint and Williamsburg and be sure to have them sign up for local eco news here.
By sharing interesting content — local heroes’ stories, events and concrete ways for citizens to get involved in North Brooklyn’s myriad of green organizations — Go Green Brooklyn will support green advocates, galvanize all residents and bring neighbors together to benefit the community.
This project is made possible with funding provided by the Office of the New York State Attorney General and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation through the Greenpoint Community Environmental Fund.

And without taking a breather, the IS 318 Girls took 2nd place in the National Girls Chess Championships 2016 in Chicago. PS 31 also won team trophies: 22nd and 17th in the u900 and u800, respectively. So very proud!
