Going Greener with Autumn Winds

Hello Go-Greeners!
Our community's spilling over with enthusiasm and energy! Earlier this month, the Greenpoint Community Environmental Fund (GCEF) held their 2nd annual Open House in McGolrick Park, bringing together organizers, volunteers, and community members (including our very own Go Green Brooklyn Hub) -- and plenty of them had something to say!
We're always looking forward to the future of our neighborhood in more ways than one with local enviro advocacy group NAG's annual gala party and fundraiser. We also love all the Halloween themed events including a night walk in McGolrick Park to see bats, Night of 1,000 Jack O'Lanterns, dog costumed party, an outdoors screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, haunted boat tours, Greenpoint's annual Halloween Children's Parade and even a haunted garden. And while you're out and about, please be alert and mindful; Landon Biehl has penned a piece about pedestrian safety.
Did we miss anything? It's so very easy now to share your events (
http://gogreenbk.org/events/community/add) and your stories (
http://gogreenbk.org/submit-story/). More ways to inspire volunteers and engage our community!
And please stay in touch!
