McGolrick Park Street Care
10 AM to 12 Noon, McGolrick Park Pavilion
Greening Greenpoint will host a street care event. Meet them at McGolrick Park pavilion at 10 AM and walk to Kingsland Avenue for some street care between Norman Avenue & Greenpoint Avenue

McGolrick Park Seed Demo
10 AM to 12 Noon, McGolrick Park Pavilion
The Horticultural Society of New York will lead a flower dissection and seed sharing activity at the McGolrick Park Pavilion. Children of all ages are welcome!

Earth Day BK Waterfront Bike Tour
10 AM to 3 PM, Brookyn Bridge Bike Rent, 145 Nassau
Celebrate Earth Day with the Human Impacts Institute on an environmental bike tour! Join a morning ride over the Brooklyn Bridge, where we will begin our tour of the Brooklyn waterfront. Tour stops include: Brooklyn Bridge Park, Brooklyn Navy Yard, East River State Park, and Kingsland Wildflower Rooftop.

Earth Day Bioremediation Lecture & Workshops
11 AM to 2 PM, 520 Kingsland Avenue, 3rd Floor
Please join NCA for an afternoon of hands-on learning about the basics of healthy soils, common contaminants and ways to use natural methods in improving ecological function and better protecting human health. An introduction lecture will be followed by soil testing, seed-bomb making and outdoor planting at a street-end in Greenpoint.

Free Compost Giveaway from DSNY with NAG
11 AM to 2 PM, 520 Kingsland Avenue, Parking Lot
Compliments of community composting and city wide brown bins, you can take home your own 40lb bag of compost, made right here in NYC by NYC! Compost is a soil amendment so you should know how to mix it right, we’ll show you how. Much thanks to DSNY for providing the compost.

It's My Park Day at Cooper Park
12 Noon to 3 PM, Cooper Park
Friends of Cooper Park and Partnerships for Parks will hold an It's My Park Day, featuring these activities: • Scavenger hunt for kids • Free tennis tips • Skateboarding tricks • Spreading mulch in the plant beds • Snacks and fun! • Meet the Park Safety Officers from the 90th Precinct.

McCarren Park Earth Day Open House
12 Noon to 3 PM, McCarren Demo Garden
GrowNYC will be hosting an Earth Day Open House at McCarren Demonstration Garden (between Leonard Avenue and the McCarren Park Pool). Join a demonstration of home and community green infrastructure: see a green roof in progress, rainwater catchment systems, water conserving native plantings, raised beds and the selection of low maintenance plant materials for Greenpoint gardeners.

Earth Day Celebration at Bushwick Food Cooperative
1 PM to 7 PM, Bushwick Food Co-op, 2 Porter Ave
Come celebrate Earth Day with the Bushwick Food Cooperative at our community Garden, El Garden at 120 Jefferson St, (right off the Jefferson L and Myrtle Av JMZ)! Enjoy a spring day of seed bombing, seed making, and a community picnic! Meet new members, and reconnect with old ones! Bring a dish to share!

Waterfront Planting with NCA
2 PM to 4 PM, 520 Kingsland Avenue, Parking Lot
Help NCA reclaim our waterfront with the planting of native plants in new planters and along the sidewalk. The plants have been chosen to attract birds and bees and other pollinators that need our help finding food in the otherwise harsh industrial environment.

McCarren Park Earth Day of Service
2 PM to 4 PM, McCarren Park Vincent Abate Playground
Join OSA and our partner Williamsburg Northside School for a third annual McCarren Earth Day of Service. Last year, we picked up nearly 20 bags of leaves and trash, and planted dozens of geraniums. Can you help us beat the record this Sunday?
