12 Noon-5 PM
P.S. 250 George H. Lindsey Elementary School
108 Montrose Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11206 |
Town Square is delighted to invite all parents, Principals, Parent Coordinators, PTA officers, teachers and school staff to New York City’s first ever NYC PTA Expo. 2014 NYC PTA EXPO presents a fun and informative event with great resources, products, services and information for New York City PA and PTA groups (together “PTA”) while bringing together community members, educators, families, parents and city agencies under one roof. Complete with workshops led by education specialists, business leaders, and past PTA representatives offering advice and fundraising ideas to new PTA members, this expo bridges diverse PTA councils through network sharing and camaraderie. Workshop presenters include, author Jean Joachim; Neil Stevenson, Senior Staff Attorney of the Lawyers’ Alliance; District 33 CM Levin's Participatory Budgeting Director Lisa Bloodgood; District 34 CM Reynoso's Participatory Budgeting Project Coordinator Ava Farkas and more! All NYC PTAs are invited to attend.
We would also appreciate your help with the following:
1) Getting the word to your schools, Principals, Parent Coordinators, PA/PTA officers, parents, and teachers. A flyer is attached here for your convenience.
2) If your school/PTA has already signed up, thank you and please forgive this redundant message. If your school/PTA has not signed up, the admission cost is a nominal $25 for a school group to bring
as many parents, teachers, and staff as you want. We will also be happy to waive this nominal charge if anyone from your school were to lend a hand getting the word out or assisting us on the day of the event. Please click here for the Eventbrite RSVP link.
3) Finally, we would greatly appreciate it if you were to send us the name of your PA/PTA President and contact info. We will endeavor to reach out to them personally as well.
I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
All the best,
Susan Anderson
