SCHOOLFEST is this Sunday, February 1st (12 Noon to 4 PM). Town Square's 8th annual SCHOOLFEST is a one-of-a-kind school fair for North Brooklyn students and parents. All schools, early childhood centers, and extracurricular providers are invited to a single venue to meet North Brooklyn families.
This year, we are excited to announce that Schoolfest will be held at The North 5th Center in Williamsburg. The center is conveniently located just blocks away from the Bedford L-station and Williamsburg waterfront.
With the help of CM Stephen Levin, CM Antonio Reynoso, and District 14 Superintendent Alicja Winnicki, this year's Schoolfest will host almost 70 public schools, private schools, charter schools, early childhood centers and extracurricular activity providers to provide parents and educators with an one-stop informational resource.
WHAT MAKES SCHOOLFEST SO VALUABLE?
- Schoolfest offers a supportive networking and informational experience for both exhibitors and parents.
- Schoolfest allows our neighborhood schools to share new information and projects with each other so that our entire district may benefit.
- Most importantly, Schoolfest understands that parents can often be overwhelmed by school choices and admission processes. Schoolfest helps parents navigate through the confusion so that you can make the best choice for your child’s educational needs.
- Schoolfest offers a chance for students and parents in lower grades to start their information search early. We urge all 4th Graders & younger to attend Joyce Szuflita's Middle School workshop and meet our local middle schools. Likewise, we urge all 8th Graders & younger to do the same for high schools. Why wait until your final frantic year?
