Does your son or daughter want to go camping, white water rafting, paint ball, fishing, skiing and more? Do you want them to learn to cook, swim, scuba dive, first aid, volunteer for community service, gain leadership skills and so much more? Fun and rewarding times for boys, ages 5-21 & girls, ages 13-21. Pack 7 and Boy Scout/Venture Crew Troop 26 are having a joint open house potluck BBQ tonight, Friday, September 16th! Bring a dish to share, meet new and old friends, enjoy fun games (Gaga Ball, Nerf skirmishes any one?) and have a great time!

Greencycle "Back-to-School" Swap

Cleaning out your closet with back to school? Bring everything over to Greencycle Swap! Bring some! Take some! One man's trash is another man's treasure. Let's recycle, reuse and reduce!
MEN’S, WOMEN’S & CHILDREN’S CLOTHING, SHOES, BOOKS, TOYS, BICYCLES, PHONES, HOUSEHOLD ITEMS & ELECTRONICS. We will accept electronics until 2 PM. Cleaned, gently used and working items please. No need to bring anything to take items. However, out of consideration for others, we may limit folks to the greater of 1 bag or the number of bags that you have brought to donate to the swap.
$5 suggested donation to help cover costs. Town Square is a qualified 501(c)(3) not-for-profit institution. Your donation will be TAX DEDUCTIBLE to the full extent of the law. Toys, books and children's clothing will be earmarked for the Albemarle Family Residence in East Flatbush; this shelter was designed by NYC as the best shelter last year, based on perfect school attendance by their 184 children, ages 5 through 18! Please help these children and families while benefiting our environment.

Pick your own pumpkin in McCarren Park! $15 admission to the pumpkin patch includes a pumpkin of your own picking, trick-or-treat bag, decorating supplies and fun crafts, $15 at event. Greenpoint Children's Annual Halloween Parade, Spooktacular Party & Zombie Nerf War

Calling all goblins and witches, princes and princesses, super heroes and villains! The 13th Annual Greenpoint Children's Halloween Parade, Spooktacular Party & Zombie Nerf War is on Saturday, October 22, 2016. The costume Halloween Parade assembles at 2:30 PM on Java Street between Manhattan Avenue & McGuinness Blvd. At 3 PM, we'll march down Manhattan Avenue to Norman Avenue, and loop back to Java for the Spooktacular Party. Afterwards, there'll be an epic Zombie Nerf War for older kids!

NYC PTA Expo is a fun and informative event with great products and information for all NYC PTAs and PAs. NYC has over 1800 schools serving more than 1 million students. With valuable workshops and exhibitors, NYC PTA offers an unsurpassed one-day opportunity for PTA & PA leaders and parents to learn about resources and network. Last year, PTA representatives from +150 schools from all 5 boroughs and even outside NYC attended NYC PTA Expo. Workshops will include: ABCs of PTAs, Fundraising 101 and 501c3s, PTAs and possibly, Urban Gardening, STEM, Arts in Schools. PTA Expo will be presented with Schoolfest this year. 9th Annual Schoolfest

Schoolfest is a one-of-a-kind school fair for North Brooklyn families to meet local schools, early childhoold through high school, even colleges.
