Hello Go Greeners!
It was great to see you all last Saturday in McCarren Park for the
11th annual Go Green! Brooklyn Festival. Thank you for dancing your sun dance for it was a gorgeous sunny day. This year's festival was the the best yet! We'll share photos and videos over the next several weeks.
The summer is now in full swing. Find out what
MS 126's Keepers of the Earth were doing on Governor's Island. Drop in on the
DOT's presentation on their two-year North Brooklyn Transportation Study tonight. Roll up your sleeves for an array of volunteer projects this weekend: Newtown Creek Alliance's
weekly clean up,
gardening with Friends of Transmitter Park,
cleaning Herbert Von King Park's Dog Run and even some
oyster monitoring at Bushlet Inlet. Then, kick back with a
Polish community event in McGolrick Park, a
LIC walking tour with our local historian Mitch Waxman,
live music at the Red Shed Garden and the long-awaited
grand opening of Domino Park on the Willliamsburg waterfront! Check them all out in the Go Green BK online calendar.
And don't forget to like us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
See you at the festival!
Go Green!
