Greetings!
The deadline for our eighth annual
Poetry Open is January 2, just two-and-a-half weeks away. First prize is $1,000 while the entry fee is just $7 for up to three poems. Second prize is $100 and four honorable mentions each receive $25. We are open to any style, any topic. All previous winners and finalists may be read at the above link.
We invite you to read our
Pushcart Prize nominations and
Best Small Fictions nominations for work published in 2017. Best of luck to all nominees!
With tax season approaching, Gemini associate editor Lorna Wood turns IRS questions into a delightful, autobiographical essay called
"Audit, 2016." Published by Wiki-Lit, this CNF piece just might lighten your tax burden!
No-fee
general submissions remain open year round. Send fiction, poetry, nonfiction, short plays, shopping lists, artwork, photography or anything else you think might interest us.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays!
