Read the 2011 winner by Seamus Scanlon, "My Beautiful, Brash, Beastly Belfast," which BBC Arts Extra called "a fascinating story."
Congrats to Gemini contributor Michael C. Smith, whose delightful story "Bass Weather" (May 2016) has been selected for inclusion in Best Small Fictions 2017. The anthology will be published this fall by Braddock Avenue Books. PEN/Malamud Award-winner Amy Hempel judged.
In April, watch for the Poetry Open results and our ninth annual Flash Fiction Contest ($1,000 prize).
General submissions remain open year round. There is no fee and we pay $10 for each general submission we publish.
We look forward to reading your work!
