You already know that the pandemic has had an effect on every aspect of life – from business to home life, in our community and throughout the world. As these changes occurred, Boston Jewish Film has been adapting and finding new ways to do what we excel at-- providing interactive, compelling films and conversations that explore Jewish culture from a diversity of perspectives. Over the past few months, Boston Jewish Film has been a respite for independent film fans all across Greater Boston.
We rely on generous gifts from our community to keep these programs going. If you haven’t made a gift to Boston Jewish Film yet, please consider making one today!

Stay at home orders were activated just days before the 9th annual ReelAbilities Boston Film Festival was set to open. We quickly pivoted our Festival from in-person to virtual, welcoming viewers from around the world and increasing accessibility for people with disabilities. |

In May we launched our Streaming Cinematheque, with screenings and virtual Q+As. We spoke to movie stars Jesse Eisenberg and Bella Ramsey about their new film,
Resistance, (more than 1,000 people attended!), interviewed world-renown wildlife photographer Amos Nachoum about the documentary
Picture of His Life, and heard from filmmakers Laura Bialis, Roberta Grossman and Nancy Spielberg, about their film
Vishniac (co-presented with the Vilna Shul). So many of you were there with us! |

We are planning for a ground-breaking virtual Festival in November. The 32nd annual Boston Jewish Film Festival will take place November 4-15 and will be coming straight to your homes. As always, we will be bringing you premieres of the best new Jewish film, intimate conversation with filmmakers and other special guests, and programs. Tickets will go on sale on October 4th but All-Access passes are available for purchase now!
As always Jewish arts and culture offerings remain very relevant. We are proud to be a connection for our community and to Jewish culture and ideas. We will be here when theaters reopen and it’s safe to be together in person again but, until then, we need your support more than ever. This support allows us to keep presenting the robust schedule of programs you love and expect from Boston Jewish Film.
