Mixed media on paper with hand painted frame, 18 x 23in., $550.00
Thompson is a prolific artist who creates works from memory. She has been making artworks since a young age first as a theraputic strategy for her Autism and more recently to sell from the studio she shares with her mother, a contemporary quilt artist at the Goggleworks Center for the Arts.
Until recently, both mother and daughter did not realize the comparisons in their colors and pattens when creating artwork. Her mother has even made a quilt based on buildings right up the block from their studio. Many of Sybil's works represent scenes she sees while walking to and from the studio located in Reading.
