Taylor Swift makes Grammy history with fourth Album of the Year win. Taylor Swift didn't have to wait until midnight to make history. The pop superstar took home the biggest award on music's biggest night, winning the Grammy for Album of the Year for her 10th studio album, "Midnights" - making her the first artist ever to win in that category four times. "I would love to tell you that this is the best moment of my life, but I feel this happy when I finish a song, or when I crack the code to a bridge that I love, or when I'm shot listing a music video, or when I'm rehearsing with my dancers, or my band or getting ready to go to Tokyo to play a show," Swift said on stage. With her record-breaking win, Swift surpassed Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon - the only other artists to have won the award three times. Another surprise reveal at Sunday night's ceremony was Céline Dion, who presented Swift with the final award. Dion revealed in December she had been diagnosed with "stiff-person syndrome," a rare neurological disorder that caused the 54-year-old singer to postpone her European tour and left her with "no control of her muscles" according to her sister.

Mexico confirms some Mayan ruin sites are unreachable because of gang violence and land conflicts. Mexico's government has acknowledged that at least two well-known Mayan ruin sites are unreachable by visitors because of a toxic mix of cartel violence and land disputes. But two tourist guides in the southern state of Chiapas, near the border with Guatemala, say two other sites that the government claims are still open to visitors can only be reached by passing through drug gang checkpoints. The explosion of drug cartel violence in Chiapas since last year has left the Yaxchilán ruin site completely cut off, the government conceded Friday. The tour guides, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they must still work in the area, said that gunmen and checkpoints are often seen on the road to another site, Bonampak, famous for its murals. They say that to get to yet another archaeological site, Lagartero, travelers are forced to hand over identification and cell phones at cartel checkpoints. Meanwhile, officials concede that visitors also can't go to the imposing, towering pyramids at Tonina, because a landowner has shut off his land while seeking payment from the government for granting the right of way.

Cuba to host an international symposium on City Management. With the participation of 130 professionals, including 11 Cuban and foreign experts from France, Mexico, Uruguay, and Ecuador, the 16th International Symposium on Challenges to City Management and Administration will be held in the province of Camagüey on February 1 and 2. This event stands out among the main activities of the Camagüey Culture Week for its scope in scientific, cultural, and patrimonial activities where prestigious academic institutions will share their experiences. According to José Rodríguez Barreras, director of the Office of the Historian of the City of Camagüey (OHCC), the meeting, which has been organized in very difficult circumstances, will include a tribute to [late Historian of Havana] Eusebio Leal Spengler, who often visited and envisioned projects for this region. The program also features the presentation of the Fulgencio Arambula Public Alarife Award to persons and institutions significantly devoted to the implementation of actions and projects to protect the city's old section, as well as the exhibition Retablo de ciudad, during which 18 children involved in the project "Aulas Patrimoniales" will describe every piece on display and talk about its creator.

Football, Regionalism, and Its Influence in Multiple Dimensions in Latin America. Being the most popular sport, a lot of other elements are also getting involved in football, such as the development of technology, politics, and economics (Bar-On, 1997). According to Stubbs, R. and Underhill, G.R. (2000), there are three concepts in regionalism, namely region, regionalization, and regionalism. CONMEBOL (Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol) is a football confederation that houses 10 countries' football federations, namely Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. 3 South American countries are not affiliated with CONMEBOL but with CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central America, and Caribbean Association Football), namely Guyana, French Guiana, and Suriname, because of their closeness in cultural aspects to Caribbean countries. With the vast aspects covered by football in Latin America, football has a big impact on the daily lives of many Latin Americans. Football is not only a unifying element in Latin America, but is also a changemaker tool in various elements, such as politics, economics, and many social issues. Therefore, the development of football will certainly (although indirectly) influence the development of the country itself. This certainly must be carefully considered to ensure the positive development of the Latin American region in various elements with football as a big impact bearer.

Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner, and others set for the Saudi Arabia exhibition. Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, and new Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner are slated to participate in an exhibition event in Saudi Arabia in October, the kingdom's latest move into tennis. Daniil Medvedev and Holger Rune are the other players involved in what is being touted as the "6 Kings Slam" in Riyadh. All but Rune have won at least one Grand Slam title. Djokovic holds the men's record with 24, followed by Nadal with 22. Alcaraz has two, and Sinner and Medvedev one apiece. Nadal was recently announced as an ambassador for the Saudi Tennis Federation. Rights groups say women continue to face discrimination in most aspects of family life in the kingdom, and homosexuality is a major taboo, as it is in most of the rest of the Middle East. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has worked to get himself out of international isolation since the 2018 killing of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi. He also clearly wants to diversify Saudi Arabia's economy and reduce its reliance on oil. The ATP men's tour moved its annual tournament for leading players who are 21 and under to Jedda, and the WTA women's tour is in negotiations to put its season-ending championship in Saudi Arabia.
