Dear Grace Street Men,
You are receiving this e-mail for the purposes of good communication. 105 ladies have signed up to attend our "Ladies' Appreciation Banquet" Friday, February 9th, starting at 7:00 p.m. We have never had this many ladies attend before, so we are over communicating to make sure you are in the loop.
We are approaching our set-up and preparation a little differently this year. We need as many of you as possible to be at the Lockwood Center on Thursday night, February 8th. We will serve pizza from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. we will work on our preparation for Friday night's banquet.
Set up will be a small part of the evening, but the bulk of our time will be spent making sure every one understands their assignments for Friday night. We will also invest a little more time in our grand finale. Our song will be Earth, Wind, and Fire's "September." We'll provide the lyrics Thursday night, but feel free to look them up ahead of time. Steven Burgin will give direction to this portion of the entertainment.
If you are not able to come on Thursday night, it is absolutely ok to come only on Friday night. We can catch you up on your assignment quickly. On Friday night, we are asking all men to wear black pants and a white shirt if you have it. We are also asking men to arrive no later than 5:30 p.m. on Friday evening.
Please join me in praying for this time. We can make it special and fun, but only the Lord can touch the hearts in a lasting way. I am asking Him to be our honored guest. Especially grateful to each person who is investing themselves in this endeavor. Please keep the cooks and the musicians in your prayers as well.
If you have any questions, please touch base with me, or anyone in leadership. Praying for you today. Let's make this a special evening for our Grace Street Ladies.
Expectantly,
Jim Burgin, pastor
