TONIGHT in Pacific Grove, don't miss this wonderful concert honoring the life and music of Turlough O'Carolan!
Turlough O’Carolan was a blind musical genius who brought much-needed light and happiness by playing his harp during a very dark period of history for the Irish. His
original compositions are a unique blend of ancient Celtic tunes with Italian Baroque.
With his golden voice and powerful stage presence Taelen Thomas captures the complexity of Turlough O’Carolan as he grows from a boy into a man.
Accompanying Taelen is master harpist Pamela Scholz who brings his music to life.
The script written by Anne Downs portrays his adventures as he overcomes all adversity to become Ireland’s best-loved harper.
