LEGO Is More Than Just Another Toy |
|
|
According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), speech and language skills develop best in an environment that is rich with sounds, sights, and constant exposure to verbal input.
Playing with LEGO creates the perfect situation to stimulate your little one’s development, while they plan and describe an intergalactic battle, or trip to the LEGO Friends shopping mall.
The great thing about LEGO blocks and mini figures is that the possibilities are endless.
Here are some ideas and tips that are easy to incorporate into your play time.

Go Camping Without Leaving The House |
|
|
Pretend camping toys for kids are another wonderful way to encourage creative, imaginative and unstructured play.
Actually,
it’s only somewhat unstructured but, all of the skills I will discuss can still be facilitated by pretending to go camping.
The reason that I say this type of play isn’t completely unstructured is because an adult has probably given the suggestion of going on a “camping trip”.
But if the suggestions is all that is given and the child gets her toys together and begins acting out different scenarios either independently or with peers, so much learning is happening and the play is no longer structured.

Sleep Deprived Parents, This Is For You! |
|
|
“I want to sleep like I baby” said no sleep deprived parent ever! Of course there are some babies who seem to have it all figured out and sleep with no issues. But there are probably many more babies (and toddlers) who struggle to get a good night of sleep.
This in turn leads to sleep deprived parents who are more on edge and end up struggling with everyday tasks as a result of sheer tiredness.
There are many sleep training courses and books for babies and toddlers readily available. Today I am going to tell you about a relatively new course on the market by Jammy Time Sleep Solutions.
Shan Roth is the owner of Jammy Time and she gave me the privilege of going through the course myself in order to provide my readers with thorough information regarding the course.
