With the beginning of school marks the end of summer....
We hope that everyone is transitioning back to school smoothly! September is here, fall is coming, and our summer programs have come to an end. This summer was AWESOME! Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, everyone attended our programs, and all those who made everything run so smoothly. Here are some highlights from our jam-packed summer program:
- Each week there was a field trip to a new and exciting place! [Sending a special shout out to E inc; thank you for the field trips and weekly science classes.] The program participants played with crabs, sailed on boats, hiked through the woods, met the Boston University Men's Basketball Team, and SO much more!
- Received FREE snacks and meals every day (all thanks to the summer food service program)!!
- Experienced various enrichment activities, such as: soccer skills with New England Revolution, creative meal preparation (remember the apple lady bugs?!) with Ms. Elisabeth Offenberger from The Codman Square Health Center Nutrition Dept and Sam Hoeffler with Nutrition Science and Policy.
- Learned important life lessons about understanding one's personality, how to work well with others, and how to set goals for one's self - thank you camp councilors!
- And of course, our program's kids enjoyed the playing with all of the toys and equipment that we have to offer right here at ADSL!
