As of today, the Sinister 7 Ultra + Relay is 81% full. Every time I open my email, there is a new team or solo. We expect to start a waiting list within the next two weeks, so if you or a friend are thinking of running, please do not wait much longer to sign up. We would hate to disappoint anyone.

Sinister 7 Wins Readers' Choice Award
We are excited to announce that the Sinister 7 has won the Get Out There Magazine's Readers' Choice Award for "best running event in Western Canada". Thank you so much to everyone who voted for us. We are simultaneously ecstatic and humbled. Of course this means we will have to work a little harder every year in order to keep on earning this honor.

FMAC Race Director on SWAT
Andrew Fairhurst, co-owner and course designer for the Full Moon Adventure Company was recently asked to join the SWAT committee. No, this is not some sort of paramilitary group, it is the South West Alberta Trail advisory committee. The group is a government funded body with the mandate to upgrade existing trails in the region and plan for the future. The committee is comprised of representatives from tourism operators, ATV clubs, equestrian clubs, the Crowsnest Conservation Society, and various other groups representing non-motorized sports. The goal is to create an inclusive trail network that is safe and enjoyable for all users.
So far this in the past year the group has been able to extend the Allison Lake cross country ski network in the Crowsnest Pass by 10% as well as completing a 15km connector trail in the Hastings Ridge area.
For years, we at FMAC have used public lands in Alberta for our events. We are pleased to have the opportunity to give back to the community by supporting and helping guide this initiative. We look forward to sharing more information on SWAT's achievements as they develop over the next several years.

Full Moon in June Update
The Castle wilderness offers challenging terrain and you will see it close up in the Full Moon in June. The race will feature a lot of alpine biking and trekking so have your altimeters handy - they will be an important navigation tool in this one.
We already have several teams signed up, ranging from novice to advanced and we are looking forward to a diverse, challenging, and exciting race!
