Dear Maple Village Community,
What a beautiful Fall week we have had! I want to remind you that Monday is a student-free day. We intentionally take this Monday off instead of Columbus Day in order for our teachers to be able to visit other Waldorf schools to observe teachers in the same grade level. This is very impactful, as they always bring back new ideas and insight. We will see you all on Tuesday the 18th!
We have busy times ahead, so please see the event flyers below regarding our upcoming opportunities.
On Thursday (20th), we are hosting a lecture presented by the LGBTQ Center of LB on understanding identity, expression, and orientation in order to support students throughout our communities. Terminology is consistently changing, and this is an opportunity to not only be educated, but be part of the conversation.
The following Tuesday (25th) our entire Early Childhood Department is hosting a parent education evening focusing on storytelling with class meetings to follow.
And, of course, our amazing Harvest Faire is coming on Saturday, November 12! Our committee is hard at work to find volunteers, and it is only truly successful with everyone’s participation big or small. Please join and visit the
"Maple Village Harvest Faire Volunteers" Facebook Page to see how you can help. It is a closed group, so just send the request and you will be approved.
Have a great 3-day weekend!
- Lisa
