Dear Families,
As you have experienced, our community pulls together at all times of the year to make our school a strong one. As our administration, faculty and board work together at this time to plan for next year, we need your help. If you are planning to return to our school in the fall, please take this time to complete your enrollment contract and submit it to our office with registration and supply fees. (Helpful tip: Remember that you do not have a June tuition payment, so this could help!) Enrollment is now open to new families as well, and spots are no longer being reserved for for returning students.
So many decisions depend on our enrollment numbers: space, room needs, supplies, hiring, budget, etc. Currently, we are trying to project, but they are only educated guesses until you enroll.
As always, please don’t hesitate to ask any enrollment or registration questions to Alice or Suzanne, and if you have questions about your child’s education or our school vision or anything else (well, maybe not anything, as I’m not steeped in advanced mathematics or physics or how to successfully wet-felt), please make an appointment with me to chat. I’m happy to help.
Best,
Lisa J. McCarthy
Dean of Education

Do you know someone who is interested in checking out Maple Village?
We have spaces available in our May Walk Through the Classes event on Thursday, May 19th at 9:00am!
Our Dean of Education, Lisa J. McCarthy, will take a small group of parents into each of our classrooms (preschool through 6th grade) to observe for a short time while the classes are in session. Afterwards, there will be time for questions and discussion. Walkthroughs are for adults only (babes in arms ok).

Larkspur Kindergarten Class
The Larkspur class has been enjoying these first days of spring under the very sweet tutelage of Ms. Victoria and Ms. Ciana. They enjoyed making their own dear caterpillars! We hope to all be back together as a class very soon!!

Thank you to Larry Rich and the Long Beach Office of Sustainability for delivering and spreading all of our new play yard mulch! We don’t know where it goes during the year, so we are thrilled to have it replenished!

Reminder - After School Etiquette
Just a friendly reminder to please watch your children carefully after the Early Childhood day is over, as we have had reports of children climbing the church sign, stepping in church flower beds, and playing in our neighbor’s landscaping. It is so important for us to maintain a good relationship with our landlord and our neighbors, so thank you for helping to guide your children after the school day is over!
