Dear Maple Village Community,
Thank you SO much to all of our parents who spoiled us with food and flowers this week!
You have no idea how exciting it is to not pack a lunch and have an entire incredible spread of wholesome and lovingly prepared food choices daily.
We value you so very much, and at this time of year, when teachers begin to feel overwhelmed, it is an amazing feeling to be appreciated.

On that note..
Please join me on Friday, June 9th for a very special morning for YOU!
6th/7th Grade Environmental Project Presentation & Parent Appreciation
Our 6th/7th graders will be presenting their final project of the year. Please come and listen as they discuss their passion for reducing plastic ocean pollution. Each student will present his/her portion of research, and the whole class will sing a song they wrote about battling single use plastics. They would like you to be more informed about this very important massive problem. It is their generation’s message to us, and you will walk away not only more informed, but also with tips on how to help make simple changes in your daily life.
Following their presentation, I will be hosting time for us to just relax, socialize and have refreshments!
Friday, June 9th
Social Hall
8:45 - 9:30 a.m: Class Presentation
9:30 - 10:00 a.m. Parent Appreciation
With Gratitude,
Lisa

Dear Maple Village Community,
On Tuesday, May 30th, from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. we have a wonderful opportunity for us all to experience together what our older students are doing musically. Come see our Grades 3-7 students perform instrumental and vocal pieces they have been working on this year! The concert will be held at Grace First Presbyterian Church (located at 3955 N. Studebaker Road, Long Beach, CA 90808) which allows for plenty of room for everyone to attend comfortably in a beautiful space. At the request of Anna Adkisson, our Strings teacher, please observe special event protocol: parents, please keep your children at your side from arrival through leaving the event. See you there!

Parent Village Meeting - Save the Date!
Dear Maple Village Parents,
Our last Parent Village meeting of the year is Tuesday, June 6, 2017, from 6:00 to 7:30pm. Please come and let us know how your committee has done this past school year and how you would like to be part of our Maple Village community for our next school year. We value all ideas related to how we can keep improving our children’s experience through gratitude, fundraising, Harvest Faire, the Gala, busy hands working inside and our and every other committee dedicated to making our school the best it can be. We need your input so please don’t skip it. When you are present and we hear from you at this particular event, we can work more cohesively on what really matters to you.
Childcare is still free to all MVWS children. Please RSVP with Alice so we can have staff coverage and activities for every child. Also, pack dinner for your children, so they will enjoy a meal with their friends.
See all of you there,
Pam Villano
