Important Aftercare Announcement
Please remember that we have a limited amount of spaces each day in Early Childhood Aftercare and Grades Aftercare, so the best way to ensure that your child has a space on the day you need is to call the office and ask Alice to reserve a spot.
If you have not called ahead and Aftercare happens to be full, then your child will wait in the Grove/Office with Mr. Dan or Ms. Alice and we will call you and ask you to pick them up. You will still be charged the aftercare fee, since your child will still be in our care. Our wish is to accommodate everyone who needs Aftercare, but we also must follow state laws regarding teacher-to-child ratios for the safety of everyone involved.
We are working on a better solution that will hopefully solve this issue! In the meantime, please call as soon as you are able to reserve an Aftercare spot to minimize any inconvenience.

Shady Trees & Evergreen Classes
Our 4th/5th and 6/7th grade classes had a great trip to Olvera Street this last Thursday. We took the Blue Line from Long Beach all the way to Union Station where we met Señora Ita, our Spanish teacher.. After we admired the architecture there, we walked over to Olvera Street where we visited some interesting historical sights. We then enjoyed a delicious Mexican meal and bought some fun souvenirs. Overall, a wonderful trip!
