the calendar is FULL of school plays, strings/choral concerts, camping trips, science project presentations, Teacher Appreciation, Parent Appreciation, Parent Village meetings, finishing handwork and woodworking pieces… OH MY!
While parents can certainly feel the pressure of all the activities, it is also very exciting to see the students’ work culminating in these wonderful events. Our students are learning how to complete projects, stand in front of audiences, perform, engage in public speaking and take pride in what they have learned and who they are becoming. I am blown away by their progress. Recently, Grade 6/7 put on a stunning and witty two-hour play, and our 1st and 2nd grade fully memorized a lengthy poetic story put into action. Our chorus class harmonized, and strings students performed seamlessly (and with smiles!). Just this morning, each of our older students presented their research on plastic ocean pollution and dedicated themselves to being part of the solution.
As we wrap up our year, it is important to give you a preview of the next!
