The struggle is real.
After the excitement of the kick off last January had settled, I found myself in bed just a few days after, unable to get up and unwilling to get out. I knew that the clouds of depression were fast approaching once again and I had to fight hard to shake it off and move.
It is no secret that the biggest battle I face today is my depression. The struggle is real. Most days I am too distracted and busy to stop and entertain the negative thoughts that consume my energy and drain my spirit. But some days, I have to admit I still find myself too weak and unwilling to fight.
What helps me a lot on the tough days are the silent moments and deep breaths that serve as prayers for me. These moments allow me to refocus my thoughts and remind myself that there are still many beautiful reasons to keep living. Whether the motivation is as simple as getting a warm hug from my favorite niece or big and challenging as completing the budget, knowing my purpose and who I am doing it for always helps me to gain a little more push to keep fighting.
In hindsight, maybe what really separates the victors from the contenders is their attitude. It is their willingness and perseverance to push through the discomfort and the bad days. It is their discipline that makes them winners even without getting to the final round. And it is their spirit to keep fighting that gets them the prize.
The struggle is real. Not just for me. For all of us.
Keep fighting!

Refresh, re-energize, and renew, all in the presence of the Lord. This was the goal of the worship team as they underwent a 3-day retreat at the Eartheaven Re-Creation Center last February 24 to 26. With representatives from KHP, LHIC, MP, TLV, and TMM, the team took some well-deserved time off to bond and gather strength for this year’s activities. |

Built upon sonship, Fight! — LHIC ’s battle cry this 2018, is a declaration of the company’s commitment to face challenges head-on and fight for our birthright as children of the Father. Heard from all properties, this giant roar began during the Kick-Off party last January 15 at The Legend Villas and was brought far and wide by the roadshows that ensued. |

Forever In God’s Holy Throne
( F

“For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.” Ephesians 3:14-15
The Apostle Paul emphasized the importance of our relationship with the Father, which is experienced through prayer. Like him, our Lord Jesus Christ loved the Father so much that He decided to return to His bosom (John 1:18). This is also where the Apostle John loved to be (John 13:23) and, according to Jesus, we could also be there when He said, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself that where I am, there you may be also.” (John 14:3)
Likewise, as we are challenged during the LHIC “kick-off night” to fight for our identity, destiny, and inheritance, we have to desire intimacy with the Father if we want to achieve our breakthroughs. We have to endeavor to stay Forever In God’s Holy Throne (FIGHT). It shouldn’t be merely head knowledge but must be alive in our spirit and shining in our lives to be all what God wants us to be. We have to experience the perfect love of God because when we do, we will not fear anything (I John 4:18).
A long time ago during my listening prayer, God gave me a vision of PEACE, with its acronym Praying Every Day About Christ’s Encounter. This is my challenge to all of us: “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)
