The Menezes Pilates Reformer Level 1 Training Course comprises 5 Units and 37 Exercises in total.
Each unit addresses exercises for certain parts of the body.
Each Lesson within the Unit focusses on that exercise and has a video as well as a written description of the teaching points. At the end of each exercise there is a quiz of up to 4 multiple choice questions to be answered.
The passmark is 80% and you can always go back to review your answers based on the information provided.
In some cases, you will be asked to "do and analyse", meaning you should do the exercise yourself to then come up with the best answer, as it is not provided in the video or text.
The Menezes Pilates training is second to none.
THIS COURSE CAN BE DONE BY ANY LEVEL OF PARTICIPANT AS THERE ARE THREE LEVELS OF INSTRUCTION WITHIN EACH EXERCISE.
It approaches the Pilates Method quite differently.
Feet may be flexed instead of pointed.
The breathing is loud (ocean breath) to better engage the core muscles.
Muscles are worked proximal to joints (circle from your inner thigh rather than the foot).
So the departure from 'traditional/authentic/classical/original' Pilates is evident - and this is what makes this style unique. If focusses on getting superior results.
