So what is Bill going to do now?

So what are you going to do now? |

We've been hearing that a lot lately.
A few weeks ago we wrapped up our final year of Seesalt, concluding 34 wonderful years of planning and directing summer student conferences. As we look to the future, one of the things we are excited about is the opportunity to spend even more time working with local churches in a variety of ways.
Below are a few of the ministries we are now focusing on. Please let me know if you’d like more information or have questions about any of these possibilities. We would love to come your way as early as this fall (which begins in less than two weeks - plenty of time).

This unique production features a special effects chalk drawing along with dramatic monologues, music, and more, resulting in a powerful and meaningful worship experience. For decades we have presented
“Art to Heart” many hundreds of times across the country in churches of all sizes, colleges, schools, convention centers, banquet halls, theaters, amusement parks, campgrounds, and even in an ice skating arena. It has been featured in state, regional, and national conferences, and has always received enthusiastic response from children through senior adults. (Most babies have been somewhat indifferent.)

So what do you do with five characters who together tell the nativity story in a way that is both humorously entertaining and powerfully meaningful? We’ve done these dramatic monologues simply with a verse of a Christmas carol sung in between each one to allow time for me to do a quick costume change. (Even though the characters are Biblical, the costumes are contemporary – no bathrobes or sandals.) We’ve also done
“Christmas Chronicles” with the music in between presented by a variety of soloists, ensembles, choirs, orchestras, and other instrumentalists (which you provide – our van isn’t that large). Possibilities include using this ministry for a unique Sunday morning sermon, a Christmas banquet, party, dinner theater, or a very special Christmas presentation combining
“Christmas Chronicles” with your church’s music ministry. We’ve also done
“Christmas Chronicles” a number of times for secular company Christmas parties when the boss wanted to make sure the true story of Christmas was shared.

OTHER CHARACTER PRESENTATIONS
Because of the great response to our original dramatic monologues we do in “Art to Heart” and “Christmas Chronicles,” I’ve recently started writing and presenting other character presentations. I’ve shared “Peter: Once A Fisherman” as a Sunday morning sermon, and it’s also ideal for banquets geared toward those who fish and enjoy the great outdoors. During the past year we’ve also debuted “BC Bornum” who shares his (in this case fictitious) story of becoming the “World’s Greatest Showman” before learning what it really means to be great and what we truly need to be showing. Other presentations to come.

PREACHING As much as I enjoy sharing messages in creative ways as other characters, I also enjoy simply being Bill and sharing in more traditional ways. I love the opportunity to preach. Let me know if I can be of help in this way as well.
LEADERSHIP TRAINING For many years I've done leadership training for adults who work with youth. I look forward to being able to do much more work not only with those in student leadership, but also those involved in all areas of church ministry. Spoiler alert - strong emphasis on discipleship.
CONSULTING If you need some fresh eyes and input from a different perspective, I've also had significant experience providing consultation on various areas of ministry.
