If you've been involved at all in the court reporting industry, chances are you know Michael and Richard Scire. And even if you don't know them...you know OF them :) When I first met them, I KNEW I had to have them in my court reporting documentary. They're smart, funny, kind and very entertaining!
And that's why I'm so happy to be working with them again on a new venture -
Martini and a Movie! It encompasses their love of movies, festivals, meeting people and...martinis. What makes this more than just a movie review site? The Scires will be reviewing movies that are showing at festivals, BEFORE the festivals, so you know which hidden gems to check out. And if they should drink a martini (or four) along the way, so be it!
Their first stop will be...you'll have to check the website next week to find out! But they'll be posting movie reviews AND actually doing interviews at the festival itself (and who knows where else they'll turn up).

Free Dictations - We had to move the dictations from the SimplySteno site to another host for ease of use (phasing out Flash). You can now find the free dictations
HERE. The free dictations are NOT dictations used as part of the SimplySteno program. Most are used in ESL teaching, so the vocabulary is great for practicing common words and phrases. The bulk of the dictations are NOT timed. So some may be at 60-80 wpm, while others may be at 160-180. They are not labeled as such, so just enjoy them as you're able.
