To Bare or Not to Bare
Boudoir photoshoots are sexy and can be fantastic gifts for significant others. So you’re on board for a boudoir session with a quality photographer. Now it’s time to consider: will you go all the way and bare it all, or will you keep some bits covered up?
Are You Comfortable Being Nude?
The first, most obvious question is this: are you comfortable in your birthday suit? If being naked alone or in the presence of your significant other makes you a bit squeamish, then there’s your answer: no nudity.
Are You Comfortable with the Photographer?
Let’s say you’re cool with nudity and being naked around others. The next question is: do you trust your photographer? Is he or she someone whom you feel comfortable around, or do you feel bristly or tense when you’re in his or her presence? If you feel uncomfortable around the photographer, you have two choices when it comes to baring it all: find someone with whom you feel at ease, or don’t go nude.
Are You Comfortable with the Setting?
Let’s pretend you’re comfortable in your own skin (and only your skin) and you feel relaxed around your chosen photographer. Next, ask yourself: what settings will I be okay with? You may find that being nude in nature is a little
too free for your liking and that you’d prefer to keep the nudity indoors. Or you may find that you’re down with wearing nothing in a secluded outdoor area. Be honest with yourself, and follow your gut instinct.
It’s fairly clear what it comes down to. To bare or not to bare? The answer depends entirely on your comfort level. If you feel even a little bit uncomfortable, speak up and cover up. Otherwise, your discomfort will be evident in the photos, and the experience won’t be a fun one (which it should be!).
