Help for a Godly Man
August Update
Dear RHM Friends,
Greetings from Oklahoma in the Precious Name of our Lord JESUS. Thankful to be in the States again to see family and friends. If any are in this area who want to get together and talk about the ministry, about JESUS, and have sweet fellowship, let me know.
The "Godly Man" that we mentioned in the heading is Brother Jebaraj's father, a pastor for many years (nice photo below). For those of you who are not familiar with Jebaraj, he is our friend in Chennai who has been helping us now for 15 years or more. Whenever a visitor comes from America, he has always been very helpful, never expecting or asking for anything, just serving the Body of Christ from his heart. His father has very serious diabetes and recently had his big toe removed. He did not have blood circulation in his foot, so was in danger of having more toes or even his foot removed. The doctors did an angioplasty surgery last weekend to unblock an artery (don't know how many were blocked), and it was successful.
Brother Jebaraj is asking us to pray for them, as they have some financial debt as a result of this surgery. The original estimate I got before the surgery is that it would cost about $2,000 or more. I don't know their current need (I'm inquiring), but any amount you can give would be appreciated!
I met with the main sponsor of the Morning Star a couple of days ago (they channel their funds via RHM), and they are making some cuts in their future support of MS after the end of this year. Pray for Brother Ajit, that the Lord will provide him with other donors who can help him continue on with whatever the Lord would have them to do. RHM is continuing to help with one young widow and a monthly amount for the 11 girls who are in his home. Brother Wesley and I are planning to go visit them in early October; look forward to seeing them all again.
Planning to meet next week with the new sponsor who is helping us to expand our widows ministry in India. Really looking forward to this meeting also, as we will discuss what the Lord has already done, plus talk about future ministry in India. When I was young and could not care less about the elderly, who could have known that our Father's plan would be to use this ministry to help many elderly in JESUS' Name. PTL!
Pray for new donors! I just need to mention that now and then. Since our Lord has always been so faithful to provide for the things He's called us to do in ministry, sometimes we can take His provision for granted. The regular donors are so incredibly faithful to be a part of this ministry to the children and widows, but the extra donations which are needed have been pretty lean so far this year. Trusting Him to touch hearts. It's all about Him, not about us, so we can rest in that.
"Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Your Name give glory, because of Your loving kindness, because of Your truth. Why should the nations say, 'Where, now, is their GOD?'" Psalms 115:1-2
Bless you!!
Brother Dan

ABOVE: Thankful to be able to help one of the widows from the village of Chinthayapalem repair her roof in late July. This sister, Chinnamayi, has suffered much at the hands of her relatives, who mock her for serving our Lord JESUS when her life still has so many problems. After she came to the Lord, her husband sent her out of the house. Her son, Daniel, had a stroke when only about 30 years old or so. Again he had problems and unexpectedly died last year. Pray for her encouragement; she seems to be faithful, but needs peace.

ABOVE: Another roof repair, which was actually just securing a large tarp on the roof of Kotamma in the village of Nandayapalem. When the rainy season ends, there's about 5 huts that we may be able to do some more "permanent" repairs, if you consider leaves and grass as permanent. But it's more affordable, enabling our Mercy Ministries widow ministry to help more of its elderly. Pray the Lord will enable us to help many more with their physical needs, and for their pastors to minister to them spiritually.

ABOVE: Sakunthalamma's hut also got a large tarp to help stop the rain for a few more months. She's from the village of Buddam. All 3 of the above sisters are part of Brother Prashanth's El Bethel ministry. He and Brother Wesley (photo below) are helping us do this precious ministry to the elderly believers who are in need.

ABOVE: Some of the women who came for their August assistance from our widows ministry in the village of Karlapalem. The younger ones have serious diseases, one of them with HIV and very weak, but the Lord has been sustaining her for the last couple of years since she started coming to the church there (she's from a Muslim home next door to the church).

It started raining, so we shifted to the school verandah (porch?). A previous time we used the school premises, school officials became very angry with the local children, so we're thankful we had no incidents this time. PTL!
