Later this month, we begin teaching Fly Tying, Fly Casting and other related skills such as safe wading, handling fish and conservation efforts in area high schools. Through our TIC school connections, several schools have expressed interest in this program, and we've scheduled one school to begin in the last week of April.
If you've got any new or used Fly Tying tools or vises, material, hooks, beads, or any other teaching materials that are extra, ordered by mistake, or have no use for anymore, please bring them to our meeting on April 3rd, our Outing on the Blackberry on April 20th; or call us at 860-248-2090 to arrange pick-up. We'll credit you with a donation letter you can use when filing your 2018 taxes next year. Remember, we're a non-profit organizations and your donations are tax-deductable.
If you can volunteer to teach in area high-schools or middle schools, please let us know by calling the number above or writing us at ken.ludwig@nwctu.com.
We hope to pass our knowledge onto area teens in several schools this year. |
