Annual Picnic

Our Annual Picnic/Outing this year will be at Housatonic Meadows State Park, on the Housatonic River in Cornwall Bridge. It's just north of the intersection of US-7 and CT-4. Fishing/coffee at 7:00 AM, lunch around 1:00, casting clinic at 2:00, contests and raffle around 3:00 PM. Bring your non-member friends and they can sign up at 1/2 price for membership to TU.
Fishing in this area has been really good the past two weeks due to the rain and the lower temps. Bring your waders and a 4wt or 5wt rod! As the date comes closer I'll send out a Housatonic Fishing Report and Flow data report. |

On the 16th NWCTU takes part in World Clean-Up Day in Torrington, where an annual Naugatuck River cleanup takes place. We'll be doing a fly-casting demonstration at this event, and serving lunch.
September 23rd is Connecticut's 2017 Fishing/Hunting Day. This year, we'll be there, proposing membership and promoting our chapter activities. Receive more information on both these activities at the meeting on Tuesday the 5th! |
