Online Courses vs. LIVE Courses
|
Online courses are classes you can take from the convenience of your own home and do not have a specific date or location. Although each course requires a final test, you can take them at your own pace. These courses are different topics from our LIVE courses, except for the mandatory CT Real Estate Law: Update and Revisited. For more information go to dares.fastclass.com .
LIVE courses are classes you take in person at a facility at a specific date and time in a classroom setting. Our LIVE course catalog can be found at www.dares1.com . When you set up a user ID and password for this website, you can view your course history as well as upcoming classes, or update your contact information.
NOTE: If you create a user name and password for Online CE, it might not be the same as your user ID and password for your TDI LIVE course account at dares1.com. So, if you are having trouble logging in, check which site you should be logging into.

A Reminder About Certificates
Certificates are issued at the end of each class to students who are Pre-Registered at least 2 days prior to the class. Otherwise, they will be issued via email or mail within 10 days of course completion. Credits are reported electronically to the State of Connecticut via the PSI portal. DO NOT SUBMIT your certificate(s) when renewing your license. BUT PLEASE retain your certificates in the event of an audit. In addition, your broker or local board MAY require a copy of it. It is the students responsibility to keep track and be able to document course completions. TDI will charge students a $20 per certificate replacement fee.

Where is the Coffee?
We are providing the best continuing education courses at very competitive prices. Costs continue to increase and healthy competition between schools keeps the price of courses way below what they were 15 years ago when we had 35,000 real estate licensees in the state instead of 22,900 today. (Of course, if prices had been kept even with real estate commissions, a $40 dollar course would be going for $140). There are often complaints about no beverage service. However, while we would like to provide coffee and other beverages, it is simply not feasible. A cup of coffee bought at a coffee shop for $1.50 costs TDI an average of over $3.00/pp to which the hotel adds a 20-25% service charge plus tax- making a $1.50 cup cost over $4.00/pp.
Facility charges vary greatly, including each facility's beverage costs. But no matter what location you choose, our course fees are the same!
Would you rather pay a higher fee for classes so that we might include coffee? Do you want to keep fees the same for years to come? Click here to participate in our survey
