Greetings!
With dyslexia, the key to learning is to recognize and develop the gifts that accompany the learning difficulties. When a child struggles, it is because the school is not meeting his needs. When we change course and provide a pathway that fits the way a dyslexic child thinks, a capable and confident learner can emerge.

A Doctor and Mom and the Davis Program
Why would a talented pediatrician take time from her busy practice to attend Davis training workshops? Dr. Angie explains:
"
The Davis Method is different than other modalities used to treat dyslexia.
My son, Noah, was diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of 9. This was when I was just being a clinical pediatrician. I didn't know what to do for my son. I looked all over the place, a bunch of different programs. Took him to a place to learn the Davis program. We went in on Monday and came out on Friday with increased self-esteem, increased confidence, and his reading level went up one grade within one week. Based on that, I decided I was going to leave clinical pediatrics and become a Davis Facilitator."

Will your child advance to the next grade?
 |
|
This is the time of year when parents are often faced with the news that their child is lagging too far behind in school. However, it is seldom a good idea for a dyslexic child to be held back to repeat a year. More of the same instruction will not address the causes of the child's struggles, and retention may simply reinforce feelings of failure and inadequacy.
A Davis Dyslexia Correction program can get the child back on track. Because Davis addresses and eliminates underlying barriers, children often experience rapid gains in reading ability during a program week. With follow-up work during the summer, it is quite possible for a child who was reading several grade levels behind his peers in the spring to be caught up to grade level by the time school starts in the fall.
Is Davis right for your child? A conference and assessment with a licensed facilitator will help you find out.
