Hello Crinum Friends, Family, Tribe.....
We have lot’s of changes in store for the farm this year. We’re building a classroom inside one of the old wood sheds, it's done of all sustainable material, including 3 walls made from Sandbag Construction - a building made of our own red clay!
Watch for summer Crinum Cocktail Parties. (Drinks made with crinum tea -- which I had in Maylasia last year.) Our first Crinum Field Party is to be on
June 9.
We realized this year, we have more customers in Dallas than in the entire state of Georgia. You local people can be a big help; please tell us what would make us more relavent to you.
We've added crinum companion bulbs recently. Check out Eucomis 'Sparkling Burgundy' (Purple PIneapple Lily) which looks great while crinum start to emerge in early spring. We're adding bulbs of a hardy, tough orchid soon...Chinese Butterfly Bletilla. Unless you live in a warm coastal region, January is not the best time to plant crinum. But you can Eucomis now.

Of I-pads, E-books and Gardening Article Downloads
I've always been a fan of local, original garden writing. With the web that stuff should be easy to get but I find more and more general writing and worthless information. So, we’re now testing downloads of Jenks' articles. Would you use them?

We'd love your opinion on this sort of thing.

Lectures
A big part of promoting and sharing information about crinums, about growing vegetables like our grandparents did (Jenks’ book research) is lectures!
They're fun for us but difficult because they take us away from the farm.
We’ve put lots into beautiful photography and we like to show off our pictures, plants and farm! See Jenks’ lecture schedule here. |
