On Saturday September 28th, weather permitting, I'll set up for observing - first the Sun while it's in the sky then the stars, planets, etc. after dark - near the Satwiwa Indian Center.
You are invited to join me. I'll have information to help you find objects in the night sky and we'll look for satellites passing overhead. |

This is a fairly dark site and easily accessible.
Bring binoculars or telescopes if you have them and DRESS IN LAYERS for comfort - even a warm day seems cool at night standing around in a field.
RAIN CANCELS THIS EVENT.
If it's clear or clear-ish, I'll go out observing that night.
Questions & curiosity welcome!
Free and Open to the Public!
This is an Everyday Spacer sponsored event!

To find the Star Party, take Lynn Road off of the 101 toward the coast. At Via Goleta, turn left and you'll see the wood and rocks entry to the park.
Drive through that gate and turn right into the first parking lot you come to.
I should be there by 5pm or earlier to observe the Sun and watch for the planet(s) and stars.
I'll make the Go/No Go decision around noon on Saturday! I'll update the meetup page here... https://www.meetup.com/EverydaySpacer-com/events/261258664/
Everyone is welcome!
