A Clarion Call
A global ‘Clarion Call’ is needed as we have never been in this situation before….
I am sending these words spoken by Winston S. Churchill in January 1940 to my LinkedIn connections as of May 2018 (over 1500) ….connections since this date are not able to be ‘exported’ from LI to this BenchMarkEmail service.
I believe these words could be paraphrased to fight our current unseen enemy.
As I am not a competent or skilled ‘wordsmith’ I am seeking help from you or your own connections to update this ‘Clarion Call’ to again use the words to help us survive, recover and win the war.
Clarion Call from WSC in 1940 - Free Trade Hall, Manchester, England.
"Come then: let us to the task, to the battle, to the toil - each to our part, each to our station. Fill the armies, rule the air, pour out the munitions, strangle the U-boats, sweep the mines, plough the land, build the ships, guard the streets, succour the wounded, uplift the downcast and honour the brave. Let us go forward together in all parts of the Empire, in all parts of the island. There is not a week, nor a day, nor an hour to lose.”
So, if your are a skilled ‘wordy’ please attempt a re-write and publish and promote or forward to your connections for them to attempt a re-write and publish and promote.
With the compliments of The Top Hand at The Top Travel Club ( Tony Humphrey). Thank you.
