We are mid-way through what’s traditionally called HOLY WEEK, where we retrace the last days of Jesus’ life and resurrection. Here are some ways to get more meaning out of this week:
1 – Invite someone to share Easter with you. Pray about who you’ll invite and how to include them. Perhaps an invite to our worship services; host an Easter brunch in your home; tell Jesus’ story to the kids using
resurrection eggs; or watch a Christian movie with a friend, such as
Risen or
Miracles from Heaven or
War Room.
2 – Attend our worship services. Easter is obviously the main event. But there are other options to experience the sequence of Jesus’ life this week. Tower Hill offers a traditional Maundy Thursday worship @7:30pm with communion and choir. Or you could take a break from the office for our community service on Good Friday from 12n-1pm at
Shrewsbury Assembly of God (220 Sycamore Ave).
3 – Read on your own, or as a family, through Holy Week. Here’s a suggestion of excerpts you could read together:
However, you decide to experience Holy Week, we hope you get a few quiet moments in prayer and reflection to celebrate the real story of Jesus’ resurrection.
