Dear Patients and Friends,
Warm greetings in this Holiday Season.
I will be treating as usual thru Thursday the 23rd this week. Next week I'll be in on Tuesday the 28th and Wednseday the 29th.
Please know that I also do remote consults if you do not want to come into the office because of "O" fear. I often slant it towards herbs, but can also guide you with acu-magnet treatments and of course general TCM health suggestions.
Don't forget your warming spices if you're on the cold side. Don't forget to eat some fruit if you're on the dry side. One way to alter the temperature profile of cold fruit is to put some in hot water and make a tea. It's a simple but oddly profound idea. This is great with mandarin oranges, apples, and Asian pears. Fruit is said to cool and moisten the body. The cooling aspect is not usually wanted in Winter except for people with "excess or deficient" heat. But the moistening aspect is very beneficial right now. That's why a measured amount of it is good in the winter season. Anybody with real Cold in their body must be very cautious with many fruits though. If you're unsure don't hesitate to ask me.
Also, don't forget a humidifier keeps your Lungs and airways healthy when heating systems dry out the air. This is crucial for general immunity. Make sure there is one going in your bedroom on drier days.
Reminder: I have moved back to 292 Bloomfield Ave 2F, my old office, in Montclair. Yes, the one above the Greek Taverna.
Happy holidays!
