January "Beat the Winter Blahs" Work Project..
Join us for a cabin fever break on the Clackamas River with the Forest Service from the Estacada Ranger District.
We are maintaining a new side channel created for improved spawning and rearing habitat. The new bank has become invaded by some unwanted plant species so we're out to beat these back. As soon as the native plants get more established, this will happen naturally without our help.
WHEN: Saturday, January 16th
WHERE:
Clackamas Ranger District offices Estacada; 8:30 am.
Work at milepost 35 Clackamas River Road #46
WORK: Ongoing work on side channel to remove invasive species and check on last year's willow plantings.
Work from 9:00 to 1:00pm.

WHAT TO BRING: Gloves, loppers, pruners, mattocks and shovels.
Hope to see you there! |
