Happy July & A Summer Party! |

Hope you are having the best start to your week. I am in awe of this year and how quickly it is flying by. I am excited to share this month's newsletter with you. It is filled with no-cook recipes to beat the heat and also a book suggestion list because you can never have too many book suggestions, am I right?!
July also happens to bring my favorite part of summer, cycling season. Not many people know but I am a huge fan of cycling and love watching the Tour de France. In fact, the TDF is such a big part of my Bellingham story. I was first introduced to the Mount Bakery Cafe in 2012 when I went to watch the live streaming at 5 am every morning in late June-July 2012. It was there that I was introduced to Vince and the amazing community of friends I am still connected with today. Hope you can join me this year.
Finally, I am also excited to announce our annual summer party is this month. I am so honored to have the opportunity to again host a fun afternoon with friends and family to celebrate summertime and enjoy great company. This year I am so excited to be co-hosting it with Jeff Savage (Country Finacial) and Alycia & Travis HoGlin (Guild Mortgage). We will be hosting a picnic in the park with lawn games, the splash pad, badminton, chalk art, picnic food, ice cream, and lots of FUN. We hope you can join us on July 28th at Fairhaven Park. Keep your eyes peeled for an event evite in your inbox soon.

THE MARKET UPDATE
Our local market here in Whatcom and Skagit county continues to see a tight inventory of homes currently available for sale. We are still very much in a seller's market but buyers still have great tools to write a winning offer.
With our market still hot and loaded with multiple offer situations, there are many ways for buyers to have the winning offer. I have advised my clients to take these steps as well as consider having a pre-inspection. The advantage of having a preinspection as a buyer includes the ability to waive the inspection contingency while having the snapshot of the condition of the home you are hoping to purchase. The information you obtain from the preinspection allows you to set your purchase price competitively knowing what work is needed and what price point feels most comfortable to you.
From the seller's perspective knowing that the price they see is the price they get and will not be negotiated later. Creates a sense of security in choosing a pre-inspected offer, knowing it is one less roadblock to a potentially stressful transaction. Sellers want to know they are getting the highest and best dollar for their home while ensuring their home is sold with the ease and as little complications as possible.
Let's chat more about how we can write you a winning offer. Give me a call today. I am here to answer your questions.
