Dear
Thank you for attending the IBP seminar, . We are pleased to present another seminar in your area entitled,
How We Cope With Stress. How do we respond to chronic stress? Some experience intense anxiety, anger or sadness. Others develop disabling somatic symptoms, obsessions and compulsions, or escape through substances or foods.
In this new, evidence-based program, learn how to replace the six key forms of unhealthy coping with healthy alternates for clients in medical, dental and behavioral health settings. Participants will acquire a “tool kit” of strategies to help them know what to say when working with “difficult” people to promote meaningful change.
Participants completing this program should be able to:
1) Identify how chronic stress can impair the brain and body.
2) List key features of the six most common unhealthy forms of coping.
3) Discuss strategies to apply six healthy forms of coping.
4) Identify what to say to what matters in a way that facilitates meaningful change.
